Abstract

Synthesis and Reactions of Sulfur-Substituted ,-Unsaturated and -Lactones.-The reaction of compounds like (I) with NaOH gives a new access to different lactones and it can be shown that the influence of the substituents at C5 and C6 are very important for the success of the reaction.
