Abstract:Synthesis and Binding Behavior of an Artificial Receptor Based on "Upper Rim" Functionalized Calix [5]arene.-Binding studies demonstrate that the new calix[5]arene possessing two benzoic acid moieties shows a prominent shape selectivity. The selectivity is related to structural change in the host-guest complexes.
