Abstract

Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Novel 2-(Aryl)-3-[5-(2-oxo-2H-3-chromenyl)-1,3-oxazol-2-yl]-1,3-thiazolan-4-ones. -The title compounds (VI) are tested for their antibacterial activity against the Gram-positive bacteria B. subtilis, S. aureus, M. luteus and the Gram-negative bacteria P. vulgaris, S. typhimurium, E. coli, and they are also tested for their antifungal activity against C. albicans, A. fumigatus, T. rubrum and T. mentagrophytes.
