ChemInform Abstract: Stereoselective Synthesis of Tricyclic Diproline Analogues that Mimic a PPII Helix: Structural Consequences of Ring‐Size Variation.
Abstract:Variation. -Synthons (VI) and (Xb) are prepared and used in the peptide coupling with proline derivative (XI). The target molecules (XIIIb) and (XVIIb) are available via ring-closing metathesis and selective deprotection. The diastereomeric mixture (XIV)/(XV) can be separated at the stage of the tricyclic heterocycles. Conformation and structural differences of the Pro-Pro units, required as mimetics in the elaboration of protein-protein interactions, are investigated in detail. -(SOICKE, A.; REUTER, C.; WINTE… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
