Abstract

Solvent-Free Synthesis of Unsaturated Amino Esters in a Ball-Mill. -Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reaction of phosphonate (I) with aldehydes is successfully achieved in the presence of a mild carbonate base to give the (Z)-isomers as sole or main products.
