ChemInform Abstract: Sodium Borohydride in Reactions of Reductive Amination.

Abstract: 2000 amination, deamination amination, deamination O 0270 23 -059 Sodium Borohydride in Reactions of Reductive Amination. -Ammonium salts derived from primary or secondary amines and inorganic acids react with carbonyl compounds in the presence of NaBH 4 to furnish the corresponding substituted amines [cf. (III), (V); 12 examples] in moderate to good yields. -(PANFILOV, A. V.; MARKOVICH, YU. D.; IVASHEV, I. P.; ZHIROV, A. A.; ELEEV, A. F.; KUROCHKIN, V. K.; KIRSANOV, A. T.; NAZAROV, G. V.; Khim. -Farm. “…41,49,50 A lower pH is known to be beneficial for reductive amination, as imine formation -the first step in the reaction mechanism -is acid-catalyzed. [39][40][41] Therefore, the pH of the reductive amination reaction mixture was varied between pH 4 and 7. The optimized condition for reductive amination was 35 mM MB combined with 50 eq.…”

“…As it is well established that a low pH promotes reductive amination, [39][40][41][42] a range of different pH values were tested in the experimental setup. Upon NaIO4-oxidation of HEK293-GlycoDeleteproduced GBP-R86N, using the standard conditions described above, protein samples were buffer exchanged to either a 0.1 M NaPi buffer at pH 7 or pH 6, or to 0.1 M NaAc buffer at pH 5 or pH 4.…”
