ChemInform Abstract: Six‐Nitrogen Macrocyclic Complexes of the Dioxouranium(VI) and Praseodymium(III) Ions.

Abstract: ChemInform Abstract The Schiff-base condensation of diacetylpyridine (I) and diaminobenzene (III) in the presence of the uranyl salts (II) produces the complexes (IV). The tricyclic compound (V) is also formed. The salts (IVb) cannot be completely separated from the mixture with (V). A related Pr(III) complex, the complex (VI) (space group P21/c, Z=4), is obtained in a low yield (1-5%) from a similar metal-templated reaction followed by partial anion metathesis.
