ChemInform Abstract: Simple and Highly Efficient Catalyst‐ and Waste‐Free Ring Opening of Epoxides with Na₂S in Water.

Abstract

. -Ring-opening reactions of epoxides with Na2S in aqueous solution are studied. Thus, the cleavage of unsymmetrical oxiranes occurs regioselectively with preferential attack at the less substituted carbon.
