ChemInform Abstract: Reactions of Cyclobutadiene‐Type Diazadiboretidines.

Abstract

236ChemInform Abstract The reactions of the diazadiboretidines (I) with Lewis acids, protic reagents, and multiple bond systems are described. The adducts (II) are formed and the open-chain products (III) are isolated. In contrast sterically crowded diazaboretidines give the products (IV) without ring-opening. Dienophilic reactions are also observed leading to the products (V), (VI) and (VII). (VIa) is characterized by an X-ray analysis (space group P21/c, Z=4).
