Abstract:236ChemInform Abstract The reactions of the diazadiboretidines (I) with Lewis acids, protic reagents, and multiple bond systems are described. The adducts (II) are formed and the open-chain products (III) are isolated. In contrast sterically crowded diazaboretidines give the products (IV) without ring-opening. Dienophilic reactions are also observed leading to the products (V), (VI) and (VII). (VIa) is characterized by an X-ray analysis (space group P21/c, Z=4).
