ChemInform Abstract: Properties of Partially Stabilized Zirconia Fuel Cell.

Abstract: 016ChemInform Abstract The electrochemical properties of a solid oxide fuel cell containing a thin sheet of partially stabilized zirconia (PSZ, 3 mol% Y2O3) as electrolyte, a La0.9Sr0.1MnO3 cathode and a Ni/ZrO2 cermet anode are studied. The conductivity of the PSZ sheet is found to be 0.04 Ω-1 cm-1 at 1000 rc C and no significant degradation is observed when the sample is held for 100 h at this temp. in air.
