1997hydroxycarboxylic acids hydroxycarboxylic acids (ether carboxylic acids) (acyclic compounds) and esters P 0280 -070Preparation of ω-Hydroxy Acids by Reduction of α,ω-Methylene Diesters with NaBH4.-The reaction of dicesium salts of long chain dicarboxylic acids with methylene iodide leads to the corresponding methylene diesters.
