Abstract

1991 electric properties, superconductors, semiconductors electric properties, superconductors, semiconductors D 8000 -006Preparation, Characterization and Room Temperature Electrochemical Response of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 Superconductor Microband Electrodes.-Superconductor microband electrodes consisting of a Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 thin film (Tc (zero) = 88 K) sandwiched between two insulating layers (MgO substrate, Al2O3 overlayer) are characterized by SEM and cyclic voltammetry. In room temp. solutions of selected redox species, the microband electrodes exhibit well-defined voltammograms and currents interpretable by the standard microband electrode theory.
