ChemInform Abstract: Preparation and Electronmicroscopic Investigation of Monoclinic (Zn,Nb)12O29 and (Mg,Nb)12O29.

Abstract: ChemInform Abstract The conditions for the chemical transport of M2/3Nb11 1/3O29 (M: Zn, Mg) (I) are investigated using different chlorinating transportation agents (Cl2, NbCl5/Cl2, HCl, NH4Cl, HgCl2; 1000 rc C → 900 rc C). With NH4Cl solid solutions between (I) and Nb12O29 are obtained. With the aid of HgCl2 as the transportation agent (I) (M: Mg) can be deposited as a pure phase.
