ChemInform Abstract: Practical Demethylation of Podophyllotoxin and Efficient Preparation of 4‐Amino‐4‐deoxy‐4′‐demethylepipodophyllotoxin.

Abstract: The regioselective demethylation of podophyllotoxin (I) is smoothly achieved using methionine and methylsulfonic acid in TFA or in acetone/water.
