Abstract

ChemInform Abstract Reaction of the title compound (I) with bidentate nucleophiles such as (II) or (IV) stops in most cases at the stage of the monosubstituted products (III). Only in a few cases are cyclization products such as (V) obtained. Other nucleophiles tried are either sensitive to the reaction conditions, such as hydrazine, or do not react, such as glycine or urea.
