Abstract: Das aus dem Cyclooctadien (I) unter der Einwirkung von N‐Brom‐succinimid (NBS) in wäßrigem Aceton bei 0°C entstehende Dibromoxabicyclononan (II) wird mit KOH in siedendem Äthanol zum Oxabicyclononadien (III) dehydrobromiert.
