ChemInform Abstract: Photochemical and Radiochemical Studies. Part 46. Photochemistry of Isopropylaminophenazone in the Solid State and in Aqueous Solution.

Abstract: 086ChemInform Abstract The photolytic behaviour of isopropylaminophenazone (I) is investigated. Irradiation of (I) in the solid state and in the presence of air produces the oxamide (II), the oxalylhydrazine (III), and the bisiminoanilide (IV). Photolysis of (I) in aqueous solution yields the compounds (V) -(VIII). Isopropylamine (VIII) is trapped with phenylisocyanate (IX), forming the urea (X). (IR-, UV-, 1H-NMR-, MS-data).
