Abstract:Novel Aryloxyalkylthioimidazoles as Inhibitors of Acyl-CoA: Cholesterol-O-acyltransferase. -Various title compounds like (III), (V), and (VII) are evaluated for their ability to interfere with the enzyme acyl-CoA. Most of them show a good in vitro ACAT inhibitory activity.
