Abstract: Nature of Acid-Catalyzed Alcoholysis of Amides of Trivalent-Phosphorus Acids.-Treatment of phosphorus chlorides of type (I) with amines leads to the corresponding amides which are purified from amine hydrochlorides using simple and efficacious techniques. In the presence of catalytic amounts of amine hydrochlorides, these amides undergo alcoholysis to yield products like (V).
