Olefination O 0284Microwave-Accelerated Wittig Olefination of β-Chloroacroleins. -Wittig olefination of β-chloroacroleins with various stabilized ylides can be performed either under conventional heating in toluene or, for the first time, under microwave irradiation. The applicability of the new method is demonstrated in the synthesis of some chalcone and stilbene derivatives.
