Abstract:Lead Tetraacetate Oxidation of (±)-N-Acylnoraporphines: Facile Synthesis of 4α-Hydroxynoraporphines and 4α-Hydroxyaporphines. -Oxidation of the N-trifluoroacetylwilsonirine (I) with lead tetraacetate gives the 4α-acetoxy derivative (III) exclusively. It can be easily converted to the 4α-hydroxynoraporphines (IV), (VII), and (VIII).
