Abstract:009ChemInform Abstract Mercury cadmium telluride epilayers have been grown by a Hg-or Te-rich isothermal liquid phase growth technique that is described in detail. The growth proceeds by HgTe deposition from the melt onto the substrate and interdiffusion between Hg and Cd within the growing layer. Mercury-rich interdiffusion coefficients are determined from an analysis of the composition depth profiles.
