Abstract

Iron and Copper Salts in the Synthesis of Benzo[b]furans. -Intramolecular C-O bond forming reaction in o-bromobenzyl aryl ketones is smoothly catalyzed by FeCl3 to give title benzofurans (II) and (IV).
