Abstract

Industrial Synthesis of 2,5-Dimethylpiperid-4-one.-A novel and efficient kilogram-scale synthesis of the title piperidone (VI), a key compound in the synthesis of the local anesthetic richlocain, starting from readily available ethyl acetoacetate is given. -(MURZAGULOVA, K.
