Abstract:Imidazolidinone Based Chiral Auxiliary Mediated Acetate Aldol Reactions of Isatin Derivatives and Stereoselective Synthesis of 3-Substituted-3-hydroxy--2-oxindoles. -The acetate aldol reactions of chiral substrate (I) with isatins is presented. The chiral auxiliary can be removed from the aldol adducts under various conditions to give acid, ester, and amide derivatives as well as furoindoline (IV) and the natural product flustraminol B (VI). -(GANGAR, M.; KASHYAP, N.; KUMAR, K.; GOYAL, S.; NAIR*, V.
