Abstract

Hydrochlorides of 4,4'-Dibromobenzilic Acid β,γ-Aminoalkyl Esters and Their Biological Properties.-4,4'-Dibromobenzilic acid (IV) is synthesized from 4-bromobenzaldehyde (I) by known methods. Reaction of (IV) with the β-or γ-dialkylaminoalkyl chlorides (V) gives the title hydrochlorides (VI) which show spasmolytic action similar to papaverin and inhibit phosphodiesterase.-(MNDZHOYAN, O.
