ChemInform Abstract: Heterocarboxylates of Dichlorobis(cyclopentadienyl)zirconium(IV) and Dichlorobis(cyclopentadienyl)titanium(IV).

Abstract: ChemInform Abstract The reaction of the metallocene dichlorides (I) with the acids (II) and Et3N in the molar ratio 1:1:1 yields the compounds (III). The analogous reaction in the molar ratio 1:2:2 gives the products (IV) (no yields given). These diamagnetic complexes (III) and (IV) are characterized by IR, electronic, mass and 1H NMR spectroscopic data and magnetic measurements. The complexes are monomeric with bidentate carboxylate coordination. The heteroatoms are not involved in the coordination.
