Abstract:Amino acids U 0400Efficient Procedure for the Preparation of Oligomer-Free N α -Fmoc Amino Acids.-A two-step procedure is employed to obtain peptide-free N-Fmoc amino acids. First, stable dicyclohexylammonium salts are prepared followed by the properly coupling with the protecting reagent. Attempts to reduce the two-step procedure to a one-pot process without isolation of the salt fail.
