ChemInform Abstract: Efficient Combination of Task‐Specific Ionic Liquid and Microwave Dielectric Heating Applied to Synthesis of a Large Variety of Nitrones.
Abstract:. -In the preparation of nitrones (III), an economic task-specific ionic liquid behaves as a recyclable dual solvent-catalyst. The use of this basic ionic liquid without solvent produces a homogeneous reaction system and provides high initial activity and overall conversion. The solventless conditions, short reaction times, simple work-up, very high yields and purity of the products, and the recyclability of the catalyst are the features of this new procedure.
