ChemInform Abstract: Determination of the Absolute Configuration of Secondary Alcohols by Modified Horeau′s Method Using HPLC.

Abstract: Using a modified Horeau's method, the absolute configuration of secondary alcohols can be determined by reaction with 2 equiv. of racemic 2‐phenylbutanoic anhydride, of which one enantiomer reacts preferentially with the chiral alcohol.
