Abstract:Cost Effective Urea Combustion Derived Mesoporous-Li 2MnSiO4 as a NovelMaterial for Supercapacitors. -Mesoporous Li 2MnSiO4 (LMS) with a surface area of 35 m 2 /g is produced by urea combustion using a HNO3 solution of LiNO3, Mn(OAc)2, and Si(O-Et)4. Urea is added for gelation prior to ignition, washing, and drying in air. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pmn2 1 (powder XRD) and is thermally stable up to 600 C in air.
