Abstract

ChemInform Abstract The Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes (I)-(IV) are prepared by reaction of corresponding dehydrated metal(II) salts with the acetylpyridine ligands in anhydrous ethanol. On the basis of chemical analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, electronic and IR spectra, pseudo-octahedral polymeric, pseudo-tetrahedral, monomeric, and pseudo-octahedral, monomeric structures are suggested. The acetylpyridines act as monodentate N-donors (no yields given).
