ChemInform Abstract: Combination of AlCl3, Ionic Liquid, and Microwaves: An Efficient Method for Dehydration and 1,3‐Dipolar Cycloaddition: An Unusual Observation in the Presence of Acrylonitrile.
Abstract:Presence of Acrylonitrile. -The combination of ionic liquids such as [bmim]Br with AlCl3 and microwave irradiation [cf. conditions A)] is an efficient method for the dehydration of aldoximes and also for 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions. Surprisingly, the presence of acrylonitrile (VI) leads to the unusual formation of amide (VII). -(KUSURKAR*, R. S.; NAIK, N. H.; NAIK, P. N.; Synth. Commun. 38 (2008) 12, 1952-1957; Dep. Chem., Univ.
