Abstract: Catalytic Antioxidant Activity of Diaryl Tellurides in a Two-Phase Lipid Peroxidation Model.-The capacity of diaryl tellurides (12 examples), such as (I), (II), ( III), (IV), and (V), and of the oxide (VI), diaryl sulfides, ebselen, probucol, BHT, trolox and vitamin E to inhibit the azo-initiated peroxidation of linoleic acid in a two phase system of H2O and Ph-Cl containing N-acetylcysteine as thiol-type reducing agent in the aqueous phase are investigated.
