ChemInform Abstract: Carbothermal Reduction Synthesis Using CaCN2 as Calcium and Carbon Sources for CaAlSiN3:Eu2+ Phosphor and Their Luminescence Properties.
Abstract:High-quality powders of the title phosphor are synthesized from mixtures of CaCN 2, CaCo3:Eu 3+ , AlN, and Si3N4 (BN crucible, 0.1 MPa N2, 1600 C, 5-7 h). The samples are characterized by powder XRD and photoluminescence spectroscopy. CaAl 0.8SiN3:Eu 2+ crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Cmc2 1. The phosphor shows an intense red emission band peaking at about 650 nm. -(KIM, H. S.; MACHIDA*, K.-I.; HORIKAWA, T.; HANZAWA, H.; Chem.
