Abstract:303ChemInform Abstract The cis-hydridoneopentyl-Pt(II) complex (I) reductively eliminates neopentane and generates the diphosphine-Pt(0) intermediate (II) which is not observed directly. Its intermediacy is inferred from the presence of this moiety in the reaction products. Thus the intermediate (II) reacts with alkyl, trisilylmethyl, aryl, and benzyl C-H bonds to give the hydrido-Pt(II) complexes (IVa)-(IVe). With phosphines, disubstituted alkynes, and olefins (II) forms coordination complexes such as (VI)-(I… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
