Abstract

Anti-Cocaine Catalytic Antibodies: A Synthetic Approach to Improved Antibody Diversity.-The syntheses of three immunogenic conjugates of the transition-state analogue (I) of cocaine benzoyl ester hydrolysis which have indentical phosphonate monoester core structures but varying tether sites for attachment to carrier protein are described. The tether sites are at the methyl ester, at the 4'-phenyl position and at the tropane nitrogen. Both the kinetics and the structural diversity of the catalytic antibodies are investigated.
