Abstract

An Improved Synthesis of 10-Isobornylsultone. -Target compound (VI) is prepared in 81% overall yield via a 3-step sequence comprising esterification, stereoselective reduction, and base-catalyzed intramolecular cyclization. -(LEWIS*, F.
