Abstract: Die leicht zugänglichen 2‐Methylmercapto‐dithioliumsalze (I) (auch das Perchlorat, Tetrafluoroborat oder Trijodid kann eingesetzt werden) können mit Zn‐Staub in Gegenwart von Brom (oder anderen Oxidationsmitteln wie Jod, Wasserstoffperoxid, Peressigsäure, Bleidioxid) zu den Tetrathiafulvalenen (II) oxidiert werden.
