ChemInform Abstract: 5‐(Perfluoroalkyl)tetrazoles: η5 Ligands in Solution and μ‐2,3‐η2 Ligands in Solid Complexes.

Abstract

ChemInform Abstract Reactions of the sodium tetrazolates (III) with the Mn(I) complex (IV) give the η5-π complexes (V) in solution. However, on evaporation of the solvent, a reversible reorganization of the ligands gives rise to the compounds (VIa) and (VIb) containing -2,3-η2 tetrazolate ligands. The structure of this complex anion is confirmed by X-ray structure analysis of the bis(diglyme)sodium salt (VIc) (space group C2/m, Z = 8). (Further yields not given).
