ChemInform Abstract: 5‐Oxo‐6‐X‐5,6‐dihydrobenzo[a]phenazines.

Abstract

5-Oxo-6-X-5,6-dihydrobenzo [a]phenazines.-Reaction of 2,3di(benzotriazolyl)naphthoquinone (Ia) with o-phenylenediamine (II) affords the title dihydrobenzophenazine (IIIa) in good yield. The same structure is also assigned to the previously prepared chloroanalogue (IIIb) (instead of the expected 5-hydroxybenzophenazine structure). -(ROMANYUK, A. L.; LYS, R. I.; LITVIN, B.
