ChemInform Abstract: 2,6‐Difunctionalization of N‐Substituted Dithienothiazines via Dilithiation.

Abstract: 2,6-Difunctionalization of N-Substituted Dithienothiazines via Dilithiation. -The regioselective 2-mono-and 2,6-difunctionalization of dithienothiazines is accomplished via lithiation followed by electrophilic trapping. Double Wittig olefination of product (IIIb) gives diester (IX). The synthesis of the latter can also be achieved in a one pot manner. -(DOSTERT, C.; CZAJKOWSKI, D.; MUELLER*, T. J.
