Abstract

1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition of Nitrile Oxides with Symmetrical Tri-and Polycyclic Strained Olefins. -1,3-Dipolar cycloadditions of in situ generated nitrile oxides with various polycyclic dienophiles are studied. The reactions take place chemoselectively at the norbonyl double bond and yield exclusively exo products.
