Chemical States of 13N Resulting from the Nuclear Reaction 14Ν (n, 2n)13N

Abstract: Hot atom chemistry /Nitrogen-13 compounds /Nitrobenzene Experimental AbstractThe distribution of ' 3 Ν resulting from the nuclear reaction 14 N(n, 2n) I3 N in individual chemical forms of nitrogen has been investigated. The yield of 13 N in the form NH+, CN~, N0 3 , and Νj as well as the retention of 13 Ν in the organic phase after irradiation of nitrogenous organic compounds by 14 MeV neutrons have been measured.
