“…For instance, Maranguit et al (2017) discovered that soil available P fractions (i.e., H 2 O-Pi, NaHCO 3 -Pi and NaHCO 3 -Po) were positively correlated with SOC (r = .70-.82, p < .001). In agreement with this, we found that soil Olsen-P, resin-P and NaHCO 3 -P were positively correlated with SOC in cropland while HCl-P (r = .54, p < .05) was significantly related to CaCO 3 content (Figures 5a and 6a), suggesting that SOC plays a key role in influencing soil P transformation (Uygur et al, 2017). Coincidently, the close relationship between P fractions (CaCl 2 -P) and soil Olsen-P (r = .82, p < .01) was observed in a long-term field calcareous soil (Jalali & Tabar, 2011;Milić et al, 2019).…”

“…Positive relationship is the function of the adsorption mechanisms, as previously mentioned, with the surface bound to this fraction (usually bound to Fe and Al, OH surfaces) and the decrease in clay quantity. Uygur et al 22 found significant relationships between Fe and Al and NaOH-Pi that could be extrapolated by CBD. In this respect, surfaces of oxide minerals are an important component in the adsorption of mineral P 8,23,25 .…”
