Chemical Composition Characteristics and Source Apportionment of PM2.5 in Ceramic Industrial Base during Winter

Abstract: The national architectural ceramic industrial center in east China is suffering from serious ambient fine particle pollution. The study reported herein describes an effort to ascertain the degree and sources of the PM2.5 collected at a ceramic industrial base in winter. The major chemical components in PM2.5 were analyzed, including carbonaceous aerosols, water-soluble ions, and inorganic elements. The chemical mass balance (CMB) model, backward trajectory method and potential source contribution function mode… Show more

“…The symbolic components of PM 2.5 and PM 10 are water soluble ions (e.g., NH 4 + , NO 3 -, and SO 4 2-), metallic micro-particles, organic and elemental carbon particles (OC and EC, respectively) (Tu et al, 2022). There is an intense connection shown to reveal the existence between OC and EC in PM 2.5 and PM 10 accordingly (Yao et al, 2016;Huang et al, 2018;Liu et al, 2019).…”
