Chemical coagulation-electro fenton as a superior combination process for treatment of dairy wastewater: performance and modelling

“…Coagulants play a vital role in the flocculation and coagulation process with floc formation and the EF process performed by hydroxy radicals which considered as highly reactive free radicals involved in the decompose of organic compounds in the -1 wastewater. The optimised process with 100 mg l of PAC, 60 min -1 of contact time, 20 V of voltage, 2 m of electrode distance, 1.5 g l of H O and pH3 was showed effective reduction of TSS, BOD 2 2 and COD as 87, 87.25 and 90.3 % respectively (Zakeri et al, 2021). The present study confirmed that, γ-PGA is an effective coagulant with reduction of physico-chemical parameters which is observed to have a varying range of process parameters according to its coagulating nature.…”
