Chemical and Biological Characterize of Dendrocalamus asper (Schult.) Backer

Abstract: Dendrocalamus asper (Schult.) Backer is a large shrub native to Asia, Africa, and the United States that is also cultivated in Egypt. Total phenolics, flavonoids and antioxidants in different fractions showed that the ethyl acetate extract has the highest content 20.95 ± 1.29 GAE (Gallic acid equivalents) and 19.65 ± 0.77 (quercetin equivalents) with antioxidant 64%, respectively.
