“…In a highly acidic medium of HCl, aniline monomers and the silanol groups in the surface of amorphous SiO 2 undergoes protonation and so in the AHCl solution with SiO 2 dispersion particles, it is expected that SiOH 2 + [15] and anilinium cations are present. The anilinium cations may adsorb to the SiO 2 particle surfaces through hydrogen bonding between the amine nitro- gen groups of aniline and the protonated silanols of SiO 2 [7]. Upon addition of the oxidant, the formation of more uniform PAni particles in the bulk polymerization is observed because it grows from a uniform central core compared to the PAni precipitates which are just randomly formed in the polymerization reaction.…”

“…The inorganic-organic interaction of SiO 2 and PAni prevented the occurrence of larger aggregations because the H-bonding between the amine of aniline and silanol of SiO 2 pushed the polymer chains apart which will inhibit the occurrence of secondary growth forming thinner nanostructures [7,8] as observed in the SEM micrographs.…”

“…The EIS is, usually, utilized to study parameters such as charge transfer resistance (R ct ), double layer capacitance (C dl ), faradaic capacitance etc. of modified electrodes [31][32][33][34] . EIS on PAni and its derivatives modified electrodes have been reported [34][35][36][37] This work reports on the electrochemical behaviour and catalytic ability of poly(Ani-co-oPDA) modified CG electrode towards electro-oxidation of AA.…”
