This chapter employs a quantitative survey methodology utilizing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) questionnaire as the primary research instrument. The questionnaire was administered to 363 students in higher education institutions across Karnataka, India, representing diverse demographic backgrounds. Purposive sampling was employed to ensure the inclusion of students from various geographic settings within Karnataka. Data collection took place over five months, from January 2023 to May 2023, using online surveys administered through Google Forms. It examines the mediating role of psychological, socio-demographic (gender, location, education), and economic/behavioural (pattern of use and purpose of use) variables. Independent variables, including Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Social Influence (SI), and Facilitating Conditions (FC), were tested for their impact on dependent variables, Behavioural Intention (BI), and Attitude toward using technology (AT).
